    can someone tell me the function of this electrical plug? Found mine disconnected after I got my boat back from the dealer. Thanks

    The cap, or other end has two wires coming out of it, and looks like something more than a cap to me...

    Correct. It is more than a cap. Cap with jumper wires installed.
