GARMIN 7612 XSV BEST STRUCTURE SCAN DUCER

Currently run a GT40 on this head unit to get Structure Scan to pick up fish targets.

This transducer has never cut it and is a disappointment in the imagery it provides.

What would be the best route to achieve the end goal of consistently seeing soft targets?? Are their any software 'tweeks' available?

Used in 10 - 50" of salt water generally.

    Thanks.

Let someone confirm but I think for saltwater they recommend the GT51.

That is the go-to saltwater ducer that most gravitate to but soft/ie: fish target acquisition still noted as being poor.
