Siphon gas

Has anyone siphoned the gas out of their tank? Tryed to put a hose down and hit something. Is there a filter on the fill tube?

Yes there is probably a flap of some kind. There was in my triton. I used a cut piece of garden hose and was able to push the flap open enough to get the hose in tank.

I'm sure a Phoenix guy might know more about your exact setup.

I do it every year. I take it apart at the primer ball and attach my own hose. it will empty the tank

This was my next move, but didn't have a small enough hose this weekend.
