    Drop hitch help needed

I have a 2020 F250. It is stock right now but will eventually be putting a 4 inch BDS lift on it with 37's. No one near me has a Gen y or B&W stow&Go hitch in stock. I'm going to order sight unseen. I have a 2018 Ranger Z518c I will be towing. I'm thinking a 9 inch drop should get me where I need to be. The hitches are adjustable also. The lift will raise my truck 4 inches and I will gain 1.5 inches in height over the stock tires going to 37 inch tires. Does the 9 inch seem about right? Anyone know how many inches a Ranger trailer sits from the ground when level?

whatever your current hitch is you should just add 5 1/2" to that and you should be in the ballpark

I have a stock 2020 SD 4x4 and use a 8" drop for my boat trailer to be level.

Keep in mind how much rake you have too, if you just leveled your hitch height will actually lower a tad. So with the lift I would say 4.5-5 inch drop from your current will put you in the ballpark

I did a 3.5/2 on mine with +1" for tires so you would think 3" lower hitch, but with losing the rake, I really only needed 1.75" ish drop. Also I didn't level, I still have about 1" of rake front to back.

Level your trailer, then measure from the ground to the top of the hitch. Then you know how low you need to have the top of the ball on your truck and you can adjust accordingly.

No problem, not sure about you, but I dont want a big drop hanging off the back when I only need half the amount. Don't want the hitch hanging up on stuff

I agree on the 10". I have a stock 2020 f350 and have a 6" drop and it is about right for my boat, sits level. My hitch is adjustable and I am in the lowest position. The only time I have had the hitch drag is on a speed bump with over 2k on the tong. CJ

My 2015 F250 with a 4 inch lift, 35s, used a 4 inch drop hitch to be almost level. it was slightly up. Waiting on my 4" BDS lift to come in for my 2021 F250., and with 37s tires. Thinking about the shocker adjustable hitch, but may need 5 inches of drop on this truck.

From the ground to the top of the hitch (top of the ball) will be ~19 inches
