    Drop hitch help needed

I have a 2020 F250. It is stock right now but will eventually be putting a 4 inch BDS lift on it with 37's. No one near me has a Gen y or B&W stow&Go hitch in stock. I'm going to order sight unseen. I have a 2018 Ranger Z518c I will be towing. I'm thinking a 9 inch drop should get me where I need to be. The hitches are adjustable also. The lift will raise my truck 4 inches and I will gain 1.5 inches in height over the stock tires going to 37 inch tires. Does the 9 inch seem about right? Anyone know how many inches a Ranger trailer sits from the ground when level?

Level your trailer and then measure, the distance to ground that will give a good starting point.

I have a 250 and a 2019 521c. I learned from past experiences with trailer tires and rotors that you better just get a level and make sure your trailer tongue is level with the hitch. Whatever that turns out to be. Might look a bit weird but that’s the ticket.

Level the trailer with it not being hooked up and then measure from the ground to the TOP of the Hitch. Then that will be the height to the TOP of the Ball.

I'm doing this also on my GMC and I have gone from stock to lifted on 2 prior trucks. I'm lifting the rear 5 inches with a block and going from 33 inch tires to 37 inch tires. Note that the 4 inch increase in tire size is only 2 inches of lift off the ground. So I'm lifting 7 inches total (2 inches tires and 5 inches suspension). My stock setup right now has a level trailer with a flush (zero inch drop) hitch. So I'm getting a 7 inch drop hitch if I have done my math correctly.
