    Vessel View Mobile

    2021 175 ProXS ser.#3B008638
I purchased and installed a vessel view module a few weeks ago.I like the concept, but I am disappointed with it with it,,,I can't get it to stay linked to my motor.Always having to reconnect.
    Any ideas??

Did you mount the module up as high on the motor under the cowling as you can? I know that will help. I actually had to download a app on my phone that helps boost the phones Bluetooth capability.

This is how mine is mounted and I have zero connectivity issues. It is zip-tied to the wiring below it nice and snug. Make sure it is not near any High Voltage Ignition Leads.

On the phone side, I would try this:

Delete the app, delete any old unused saved bluetooth devices from the phone, restart phone, re-install the app. Follow the directions step by step in the VVM manual and app.

    Hope you get it working.

Since that's a V6... you can usually bring the module up to the top of the engine, and route it as far forward (up high) as possible. Helps if you leave the 10-pin connector (where terminating resistor originally was located) off it's gray hanger-clip, to gain a little more flexibility.

Another alternative is to order and install the components of a Smartcraft Network, relocating the module at the helm (and providing this best/cleanest connection you're likely to get). If you want to look at this option, see Rhonda's post (pinned at the top of the Forum), and drop her an email.

I relocated mine up to the helm. Just plugged it in to an unused port on the j-box.

Get the blue cable from Don and run it to the helm and mount it under the console. Once I did that I have never lost connection.

You need more than just the cable. You either need a junction box or a gender bender adapter. Were you clear about what you were trying to accomplish when talking with Rhonda when you ordered the cable?

As suggested earlier, you'll need either a Junction Box, a "Y-Harness", or a Male-Male Junction Adapter.

Junction Adapter is the least expensive option, if you have ONLY ONE Smartcraft Device.
