New to Humminbird lost

I bought a boat with 3 Helix 10 gen 2s.2are DIs and 1 SI. The bow unit on DI only has what looks like clutter with no bottom or images. I can hear it clicking so it is getting power. I had planned to do DI and map at bow add a new unit for 360 and future mega live. Console SI and DI on 1 and 2d and map on the other. Is the trolling motor transducer bad?

You have a test lab onboard-----
1. Connect the bow unit to the console unit's transducer to check if the unit is OK.
2. Connect one of the console units to the bow unit's transducer to verify if the transducer is OK.
