I understand that I need to find an area with the minimal magnetic interference and I will temp mount it to verify it works in all conditions, just looking for suggestions on a good starting location. Thinking back deck behind driver seat as far back as I can but sill mounted on the carpet for level mounting.
Mine is mounted behind the driver next to the nav light in front of the bilge vent. I’m sure the best place is on the bow, but I’m drilling more holes in my Sabre FTD. I have no complaints about performance with it mounted on the back.
