Comparing the Mercury 115 ProXS and Yamaha 115 SHO

This is a fun comparison between two top engines in a popular HP category. Without being able to do real world testing, we looked at specs, test reports on different boats and made some comparisons. These are awesome little engines, both of them. Take a look at how they do. I wish there were more small performance bass boats and small performance boats on the market for these little engines.

That’s a good read. Go with the better service dealer in your area or flip a coin.

It's a good problem to have to choose between a Mercury or a Yamaha.

Leaned a bit to the SHO 115 when I re-powered in 2018, with the ProXs 115 close behind.
Boss liked the looks of the ProXs better, so,
guess what we ended up with. (Better question, though, is who really 'won' ...)
Do not take your half in the middle ....

Love the little Hell's Bay Marquesa mentioned in the article. Great little fishing boat and beautiful finish.
