Haven’t been past since Saturday and it was all ice then, but we’ve had rain and a 60 degree day since then so I’d bet it’s open.

Water was gin-clear last fall (Mid October) which hasn't been that way in previous years. I'd be interested to know if conditions improved (more algae..) by spring.

Most of the time, West Boggs is gin clear. I’ve even ice fished it and it’s really gin clear.

West Boggs used to have a heavy algae bloom. What changed to make it so clear now?

Cold ass water clears it up..it’s still got the green frog stringy scum on the bottom you get all over your lures. Wait till the water warms up and you loose your gin clear water. We just got 2” of rain on top 20” melted snow to kinda flush the lake out with runoff from all the amish Turkey barns and farms that dump into it. Wait till it warms alittle.
