Battery selector switch install - Need assistance

I've searched and searched and I guess I'm not searching the right words...

My Cajun was butchered by the previous owner so I have no idea what was there previously. I have a new Attwood dual battery switch that I'm installing with dual batteries. I can't make sense of the Field Circuit Terminals, or maybe I don't need them at all. It looks like these are used to connect the alternator, I'm brand new to the outboard engine world and figured I would see what the forum recommends. Thanks in advance.

What motor do you have? The trolling motor batteries are charged with a battery charger, these switches if wired incorrect or switched when the motor is running will toast everything in the charge circuit, these parts are expensive to replace. My advice is forget that switch.

That is not a stock Cajun item. You should have big wires from outboard and then 1 positive(red) and 1 negative Black to the starting battery.
