    Carpet installation

I just got my Stratos 185 recarpeted by Chuck Thompson (bdl1503). He lives in Lawerenceburg KY and works out of his gararge. He is a fireman but does carpet on the side.
I provided carpet, adhesive and pop rivits, he did the tearout and installation. Job took 3 days!
I'll post pics here after I get them off my phone to my tablet.
If your looking for someone in central KY I would recommend him highly.
    Cheers

looks great....my 22 year old carpet is starting to show its age. I keep telling myself my boat is just a tool and as long as there is no big holes or rips it will be okay. I keep talking myself out of getting it replaced but pictures like that have me rethinking my view.

Thanks for the kind words Coach, I hope you are pleased with it! If anyone is interested I enjoy piddling with it and charge $25 an hour normally takes me 16-24 hours to do one depending on how involved it is you buy materials, or I can either way

The Javelin 379 I picked up for my son inlaw had a couple of soft stops on the floor. Front deck was solid, just 2 spots in front of the seats were soft. Well it turned out to be more than expected and I cut out a pretty good section of the floor. Fitted in a new piece of plywood and was going to do the fibreglass work myself.
Long story short, I took the boat, resin, glass and carpet over to Chucks place while I went to Florida for a short vacation.
He did the floor overlay and carpeted the boat in 26 hours of labor.

The trim is on back order from boatcarpetrim.com and he is going to install it at my place when it shows up and he's back from a family vacation.
O and the 26 hours included the old rotary steering cable removal and installation of the Seastar Pro steering kit

So I dropped off the boat last Thursday and boat was ready for pickup on the following Tuesday. Fibre glassed the floor, stripped and installed new syntec carpet, removed old cable steering system and installed new Seastar Pro steering kit all in 26 hours.
    Chuck you're the man!!!

Looks great! I will have to make a note about this. I plan to get new carpet and seats later this year.
