521C with 2020 250 G2

This is my second , 250 g2 on this boat . I have had the same error code and the motor goes into safe mode when its rough or raining.
i shut motor off , switch from foot pedal to hand throttle and it always fine.
If i run it on the foot throttle i never have an issue.
I thought i read on here , some others having same issue, and it possibly being the ignition switch.
Any help or advise would be great
