Setting up gps point 1 between 3 hds units

How do you all have your two hds units configured when sharing a point 1 between the two? I know that you want the point 1 to supply direction for both units but how do you have the net up for marking waypoints? Ie global vs local etc, ?? Thanks

Console Unit-Pages, Settings, Network, Data Sources. Set all Scopes to Local. Under the GPS tab, select Point 1. Under the Vessel tab for Heading, select Point 1.
Bow unit-Pages, Settings, Network, Data Sources. Set all Scopes to Local. Under GPS tab, select This Unit. Under the Vessel tab, select Point 1.

POINT-1 BOW
· Verified 1.4.0 GO73C TB102512_10 software via Menu-Settings-Network-Device List-Point 1
· Verified Point 1 Heading via Menu-Settings-Network-Data sources-Vessel-Heading-Point 1 [603]
· Verified HDS7 BOW GPS Source via Menu-Settings-Network-Data sources-GPS-All Data-HDS7TiGPS [this device]. By default this was Auto (Point 1 [603]). Scope = Local
· Auto Configure Network via Menu-Settings-Network-Auto Configure.
· Heading extension ON via Menu-Settings-Chart-Heading extension. This is position your boat is pointing and moving to.
· Range rings ON via Menu-Settings-Chart-Range rings checked.
· Course extension OFF via Menu-Settings-Chart-Course extension unchecked. This is for navigation or go to waypoint use ie direction you are navigating to.
· Orientation changed to Heading up was North up set via Menu-Chart options-Orientation.
· Point-1 trail update speed set via Chart-Settings-Scroll to Waypoints, routes, trails-select-select trails tab-settings
o Change logging type from auto to time
o Change time period to 1 sec
