Oil/Fuel Harness to Analog Fuel Sender

    SN: 2B120859

Looking to clarify this before proceeding. The new fuel tank on my boat came with a KUS analog fuel sender. Can I safely connect this sender to the oil/fuel harness? The pink wire from the sender is already connected to ground (per sender instructions). And I plan to connect the black wire (gauge hook-up) to the pink with black stripe (Fuel level one) connection on the harness.. Does this sound okay? Or do I need to purchase a different sender? Thanks, this forum has been a great resource.

Make sure that this is a traditional fuel sending unit range on this one (roughly 240-33 ohms range).

If so, it can be used. HOWEVER: You have your connections BACKWARDS.

    Black goes to BATTERY GROUND.

PINK goes to the Pink w/Black Stripe (Tank-1) wire in the Fuel/Oil Harness.

NO OTHER WIRES should be tied to either.

If you would, please take a moment to review the Announcements at the top of the Forum, and be sure to provide the Required Info (serial number) when posting. Thanks!
