    Ready to fish!!!

So when are you guys planning on hitting the water? I’m getting anxious myself. What temperature/water temperature do you think is good enough to venture out?

I agree with FX20. Still thick ice here in NE Pa. I am ready tho. It would take me 20 minutes to load the boat and hook it up.
Today is the first day in a while the sun is out in the morning. COME ON SPRING

The river is open so maybe this weekend if the temps stay up above freezing.

The coldest I ever fished was in 2018. I followed a Penn Dot tuck down the 4 lane. The state road was snow covered and the temp was around 30. I believe you fished this same tournament Steinybass

If there's no ice floating on the river, this weekend. I run a camera on the boat most of the time and looking back at previous years footage, it's generally this week or next on average that I make my first trip to the lakes. Going to take some major warming for that, but I'm remaining hopeful.

It could have been possible. I have been out in some cold weather. I know I have been out twice and it snowed, which I got off the water then.

Been out all winter this year up until the lakes started freezing up in late January. Even with 37-38 degree water temps did very well with largies and a few smallies in the mix. Last time I was out I was breaking thru the ice with my boat.

I've been out many times. Been catching fish too. It's slow, but it's March. I was up on Keuka in NY two weeks ago and there's fish everywhere with water temps in the mid 40s already.

First bass of the season.! Caught in Pa (Shenango Lake). 5lb'er, on a 3/8 oz Booyah Covert spinnerbait. Tail was a little sore looking, but really doubt it was fanning bed. Too early for that. Caught on RR bridge riprap. Water temp was 48°, surface temp 54°

Hit a local township owned farm pond yesterday just to try out a new rod and ended up getting 7 LM on a chatter bait.
