    Build time?

I’m considering ordering a bass cat caracal, but I’m concerned about build time. Does anyone know how long it will be?

It varies per dealer and the boat model ordered.

Loooong but it definitely sounds like it will be well worth the wait.

Boats are not posted to boats by serial number until they have been shipped to dealers!

Oh well. So much for that lol

What sort of notice, if any, do dealers get?

The RSM a has a 45 to 75 day window view of deliveries. We expect the RSM to convey delivery at time of schedule. From there the RSM and dealer are notified every Monday of deliveries for the week, extending into the next Tuesday.

Also delivery times vary dependent on dealer obligations and how many stock boats they have replaced with sold orders. Dealers can only swap 33% of stocking orders with sold units. Once they switch that 33% everything after falls in line on date range. Thus it depends on the dealers.

Right now there is no one answer as there are too many variables. For example we were contacted on a boat that has not started yet, though the engine is a low use SKU and we will have that engine in mid April. Yamaha is out one year estimated on our deliveries. Dealers can move their orders around also and some have used all of that ability, while some could slide your boat in within 6 to 9 weeks delivery. If your dealer is Bait Shack then Brandon can likely prioritize some.

As of April we move to primary retail sold units as a focus and the dates will move up.

As we try to be more transparent than any other manufacturer, this time period has us in previously uncharted or untouched ground. Just today we were dealing with shortages from multiple vendors. There is just no one honest answer now.

For almost a year you couldn't even reliably buy toilet paper. I can't even imagine how difficult it is to bring everything together to manufacture a boat. My Cougar order is coming up on 5 months so the struggle is real. This is my second Bass Cat so I know the wait will be worth it but plan accordingly.

I ordered my p2 end of October, just got here yesterday. A lot of people are buying boats, seems like a lot places are having inventory or parts issues. I looked at Rangers too, was told 6 months to a year, so 4-5 months was not bad. Gonna have to be patient no matter what.

    I

FWIW I was told build time is roughly 15 days but delivery might take a couple weeks depending on how many boats are going to dealers in the area
