Yup, hand brush, rinse, repeat. And it smells good when you get done lol. Cheap and easy.

For general cleaning of the carpet, BCB's method of 50/50 vinegar/water is the best that I have found in 40 years of boating. Flood with water, spray with 50/50, scrub, flood again, shop vac wet, and let air dry. I divide the boat into sections (deck, cockpit, and back deck). Carpet comes out like new. I will spot clean stains with the 50/50 first. For really nasty stains, like grease mentioned, you may have to use a special spot cleaner. Avoid using any kind of soap for general carpet cleaning. The 50/50 is great for your graph screens too.

Just like catdude said and stay away from the carpet cleaners. If you don’t have a good shop vacuum rent a carpet cleaner with the small attachment kit at Kroger or anywhere really. I use soda water sometimes
