Praying 519vx room under bow plate for Humminbird ethernet hub and fuse box

I'm buying parts to install a new Humminbird Helix unit and Ultrex on my 03 519VX Ranger to replace the old motorguide and flasher unit. The boat is at the lake, I'm 6 states away. I am thinking about running power from the cranking battery to the bow to power the ethernet hub and the Helix. I'm wondering how much room is under the bow plate... enough to drop the ethernet hub and a fuse block underneath?? If anyone knows I'd appreciate letting me know. I'm also considering what size wire to run. 10/2 Marine wire is good for 13 amps. Can anyone think of a reason to run more that 10 gauge?

    Thanks.

That'll be pretty tight up there. I'd mount it in the starboard locker on the inside of the lid or against the inside wall. 10 ga would work, but I'd run 8ga from the battery to a fuse block there also and then run 10 or 12 to the unit/units.

    On my former 05' 519VX I had a 12" HDS gen3, 10" Helix Gen1 along with a 360 up front.
I installed the HB e-switch under the bow, fit just fine.

Dumbest place you can put it. Mount it in the starboard locker wall easy to access the fuses etc I'm working on a 2019 521 that the dealer put the box and wired everything to the power strip behind the bow panel.

I did Battery-10ga- 7181.jpg- 10ga up to starboard locker-5025.jpg- wired my dash units directly to the fuse block- came out with 2-10/2 wires to bow - 2404.jpg - to the two bow units

I used the existing boat fishfinder circuit to power the ethernet switch( (may change that). there is a flat piece of pultruded stuff I mounted the hub to under the console. I also tapped into the horn wires and put an aftermarket horn in the same area.

Thanks for the advise everyone. I purchased the fuse block and disconnect switch. I also purchased 8/2 and 10/2 marine wire. I am looking forward to getting out to the lake so I can open up starboard locker and the bow and see how to fish wire and cable into and out of the locker, up to the bow.

I have a 2000 518vx and mounted my ethernet hub up under the console. Works great!!
