    Top End Speed Mercury 175

Curious what people are seeing with their 175 mercs? Obviously the boat matters and whether its tournament filled or not...but curious what people are seeing in real numbers?

Most 18-19' rigs running a 175 ProXS are in the 64-70 MPH range (with a few slower, a few faster).

Don, is that with the 175 Pro xs 4 stroke? What prop and pitch is typically best results on a 18 1/2 with dual 12' talons on the back, with the 175 Pro xs 4 stroke?

I have ran a bit over 64gps with my 18ft.HydraSport.@4"Tempest plus,5500rpms,30gal. gas. Fixing to drop down to a 22pitch in the near future and give it a go.

Merc has a prop selector that allows you to enter hull weight as well as weight of people/tackle/accessories.

22P-23P range would be a good starting point.

I have a 2019 Phoenix 618 pro with the 4s 175. Consistently see 67 mph, loaded with tackle, empty livewells and by myself. 24p Tempest plus prop.
