Lake anna size limit for bass

Hello,

From what I am reading in the VA fishing guidelines it seems there isn't a size limit for bass on lake anna, only a 20in slot for stripers. Is this true?

This^^^ However, keep in mind that some bass clubs and tournament organizations do set creel limits for their particular tournaments.

I am mistaken, we use 15" for our group..

None while pleasure fishing. It had one a long time ago for over 12, switched to 12-15, and dropped the slot in the mid 2000.

I think this is the VGIF's version of throwing their hands in the air and saying "its going to be a dead sea no matter what size or creel limit we impose". The locals can catch them there though.

Amazing, I've not heard of a lake not having any size limit on bass for 40 years but sure enough, no length limit for Lake Anna.

It was changed to no size limit since the purpose of a size limit was the harvesting of legal size fish and no one was doing that due to the tournament mentality.
