Doing my wintertime reel maintenance now, and found holding casting reels (Shimano) on their side and removing/replacing lots of small parts not always easy. Tip- Used a large roll of painters tape and slide the reel in handle side up and reel seat prongs fit tightly into the inside of the tape roll and freed up one hand.
