Makes you wonder if he had just raced the final lap instead of blocking for the guys up front how things would have turned out.

NASCAR hasn’t really been the same.

I didn't care for him at the time but he sure made NASCAR interesting. NASCAR hasn't been the same since. RIP

Yes, I don't think there will ever be another "Intimidator" on the racetrack.

I was in law school, watching in my dorm. My buddy texted me...Dale is dead, I was like no way! He had been is so many rollovers, airborne flips, etc that I thought he was invincible! I’ll admit that I cried, he was a hero of mine.

I still hate Sterling Marlin, though that makes no sense. And everyone blocks at restricted plate tracks.

While Dale's death was tragic, that is not what killed NASCAR off. Hard to believe it was 20 years ago though.

RIP Dale You are greatly missed. I have been told the good Lord looked down and said, you aren't here to block for a race that was essentially already over come on up here.

Agree completely. I was/always will be a fan of Senior but this was just a racing accident. No fault, it just happened.

They did do a little tribute to Dale Sr. last weekend at the race. Also showed everyone honoring at lap #3. Commented that his death was not in vane, that NASCAR mandated safety changes and that no one else has been killed in a NASCAR sanctioned race since that day.
