    Question Lower unit leaking oil

    1995 Mariner 225 HP serial# OD935921

I have a bad seal below water pump which I’m replacing both. Is it possible for the oil to seap out behind prop with one of these oil seals bad? I believe I little water was in LU when it was cold and pushed the oil up.

Sure- it's "possible". Would be far more likely that it leaked out the water inlets, though.
