    Question Gas struts

Did a search but didn't quite find what I was needing.

I've got a new to me 2009 ZX225 that's in pretty darn good shaped. One of the few things I need to replace is the gas struts in the two middle compartments of the front deck. All the lettering/numbers on the current struts are warn off. Anybody know what size/weight of struts I should go back with? Would love to get some on the cheap rather than through the dealer.

    Thanks

Take your struts off take to your local auto store and get the same size when I did mine on my old boat I went up in poundage to keep wind from slamming lid shut. They will be way cheaper

This is a good resource. You can search by length and stroke then select the strength from the list.

These worked for my 07 ZX225 (If I recall, the critical dimensions are ~ 6.5"-10" stroke; the 40Lb lift is sufficient).
