Land being restored
https://amp.houmatoday.com/amp/4358780001
This is a good example of our tax dollars being used to restore land. I know it's not blocked off or gated areas but this is exactly the problem we have. Tax dollars being paid to restore land that is owned and gated with no access by fisherman who pay for those taxes. I'm referring to all the gates now being put up to stop people from fishing but still use public water and public taxes.

I agree the state and feds should just build protection levees.
Anything outside of the levees the state should let Mother Nature take it back.
If the landowners want to pay for their own projects then they should have to pay for studies and the cost of the projects.
If the restoration is not on public lands then the public should not pay for it.
