What do you miss that has been impacted by covid?

What is something you miss that was or has been impacted by covid? For me it’s been in person auctions. I like going to them locally to see what I could find either for myself, to flip, etc. Now local in person auctions are almost non existent as most have transitioned to online. Just isn’t the same for some reason. Please keep it non political.

We were really looking forward to another cruise. It'll probably be at least next summer before we get to do that again.

Right now I’d be on a tropical vacation. Every year we go in February but not this year. Also really miss going to Blues games.

I miss getting together on the first Saturday of the month to have breakfast with my brother and sister. Since everyone's lives are so busy we use this time to stay in touch and keep up with what's going on. We've been doing this since 2009 when our Mother passed away. We had never missed a month until March of 2020.

Caribbean vacation. That's two years in a row now. I need a white beach, but not this one.

So far I've been blessed with having to go anywhere and work with a mask. Other than that business as usual

I really miss my wife who passed away in Sept.

And now I can't see my new great grandson till this stuff clears out.

Seeing my Dad, even though he has Alzheimer's and dementia and most of the time doesn't know who I am I can still get stories out of him about his youth. He is in a care facility that is not allowing visitors. He is the only parent left for either the wife or I.

Joking aside, I haven't been able to see my granddaughter play soccer. I planned a trip last March, but the spring season was cancelled. Then the fall season was cancelled. I was hoping to go to Vegas in April for a couple of games, but I found out no spectators. That leaves May till I get to watch her play again.

My wife’s grandfather riding his golf cart up the hill to our processing plant. He retired in 99. My father in law built the place in 2000. It’s been wide open ever since. I started there in 2008. He helped wrap and label the meat until 2016 when he had a bad setback with pneumonia. He quit then, got over pneumonia and piddled around his house. He would come up every morning on his golf cart and would ask if we were caught up knowing good and well we weren’t He always had a few “little” jobs. He got pneumonia on 11/2/2020. On 11/9/2020 we had to call the ambulance to come pick him up. He and most of us knew at that point that he had COVID. He was violently shaking, 104 fever, and he knew that would be the last time he was at home. He died on 11/13/2020. He was one of the good ones and loved talking about anything anyone would listen to. I miss seeing him riding around on his golf cart. Sorry for the long post but COVID has taken so much.

Going out to dinner, and working somewhere other than my basement. And I miss family dinners with my entire family.
