So, as you know, I got the boat back in October from its 3rd owner, who bought it from a friend of a friend, both of whom were in the tackle industry, the previous owner (2nd) being in sales and the original (1st) on the National Pro Staff for Champion, none of whom hurt the boat at all as it looks factory. The boat sat stored for years as the third owner suffered a stroke so it was mothballed. Finally, I was able to buy it after several years of cajoling. Even though its a 96, it boasted several upgrades that even the 97's didn't seem to have. The trailer had the cutout name; Champion and the boat had "newer" style graphics, one of which were done post factory. I'll start the pictorial with the following pics and add to them as I progress (now finally in my son's garage). 1st is a front view, 2nd an open side view, third an upgraded winch and fourth new Trick Steps custom painted. Coming up, pics of "torn up" upper being worked.
