Matt - The outer fiberglass shroud mounts to the top cap using wellnuts. When I had my Skeeter I actually built a shroud using marine wellnuts and that always worked well and was very solid. You could probably use through bolts/nuts and fender washers if you wanted also. The inner bracket screws into the shroud using the allen screws with nuts in the fiberglass as mentioned .

For some clarification on this I just received my new bow shroud kit. Phoenix is not using wellnuts at least with the kits - they included the same screws that hold on the plastic shroud so it will mount the same way. The new shroud is solid under the graph mount so that gives you additional points to add screws if you want. Looks robust and well built. In my perfect world - I would still make something that was all 1/4" aluminum and on a hinge of some sort for easier access to electrical under the shroud but this will work much better than the plastic shroud and will look 100 times better.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get the fiberglass dual mount from Phoenix? I have a 2021 921 elite. Wish I had known
about this mount when I ordered late last summer, but I didn’t! Also approximate cost??

Pretty sure the shroud is $350 and the stack that mounts to the shroud is $250, so $600 total.

Yes - I meant the stack about $200 or so- I thought he was talking about just the stack-didn’t mean to mislead anyone

They told me nine weeks when I first called. Then when I ordered mine I had it in my hands in five days

Why do you need it if you’re not running two graphs

Got my new shroud with double stack delivered today ! Can’t wait to put it on ! They painted it to match my boat . I wanted it like on the new Elite series. Gets rid of the cup holder and adds the trim switches that are foot operated. Came all pre wired with plugs so I’m hoping it’s just plug and play. Looks great and is very sturdy. Would post a picture but can’t figure it out - sorry. By the way, it’s going on a 2017 21 PHX

Our demo Phoenix elite ran this stack mount all last year up at Ontario and Champlain. It was rock solid and no signs of stress after a long year. The new 2021 demo boat was ordered again with the same mount. Makes a solid great looking finished install.

My Salesman at Toho Marine told me this is on my boat, I have dual graphs but didn't know how they'd do it. Pretty pumped after seeing this info. Thanks for passing along, looks awesome, very clean.

The Elite has the best bow setup of all Phoenix models - I suspect they will do this on the PHX at some point instead of retrofitting this shroud but I do think its the best they could do given the current bow design of the other models.

How many screws are actually holding that shroud to the top cap of the boat?

I used 6 of my own 3.5" stainless screws - factory uses 5 and I think that would be sufficient. With 4 screws there was no movement. You easily can add more screws if you feel the need. A few of the screws are hidden under my stack mount to keep it clean. Took a little thought and careful drilling to get the screws in the right spots. I was able to check out a factory PHX with the same mount for reference. I can grab the units and pull hard and no movement at all its very solid but I'll keep an eye on things.

Have a question on that 2017 PHX install- the wire harness that is installed on my new shroud has plugs on the end- is it just unplug the old one and plug into the new one ? That easy? I haven’t got around to doing it yet on mine. My current shroud has 1 toggle switch (up/down) for the trim but the new one has 2 switches for the trim- just plug and play ?

the screws that are hidden under the stack mount. Do you think you could have used through bolts on those?
