Ultrex foot pedal hard to push sometimes

I just purchased and installed it 2 weeks ago. If I'm actively moving around the pedal works great. If I pause for a few seconds or take my foot off the pedal it will be hard to push when I go to move around again. Is this normal for it to be stiffer to move when it's sat unused for a few seconds? It's not overly hard to push like it's stuck but it is a different feel than when you are moving it consistently back and forth. It's like the electric power steering is either holding it in that position or it's off until I start moving it again.

Sounds like the steering sensor.. do you know the production date ? the newer models have an updated sensor.

Serial number is under foot pedal top on the side wall where the push button is. Should be UXXXMkXXXXX. Se if you can see if there is an exposed ribbon cable coming of the wire that goes to the control board. If you can't see the ribbon cable then it is the newer up graded one.
May be the sensor board, but may be something else.
