Maumee River Walleye Fishing Areas (Drone View)

I took a drone view of the hottest walleye areas on the river. It's only a couple months away and expect lots of anglers to be lining the river for those tasty walleye. They have been tracked from Lake Huron, St. Clair, and of-course Lake Erie. They travel long ways to get back in the river to spawn. Sometimes you need a little edge to find some spots when others are taken. This video was taken when the water level was really low so you can get a good view of some possible locations to fish.

My first trip for work from Cincy to Ann Arbor, I drove over that river during the run and thought, "What the %^&* is up with the elbow-to-elbow guys?"

People drive from quite some distance and many states to come during the run. It's a circus. Seen DNR up in trees watching guys. Often they are the guy fishing right next to you and you don't even know it. I haven't fished it during the run for many years now because I just don't enjoy crowds. Glad the DNR keeps a close eye on things because not every angler is an honest one.

The ice is gone on the river! Anyone have any updates on the lakes if any are open yet?
