Question for 201 owners powered with a 200HP

I've got a 201 powered will a 200hp motor, just trying to get ideals on your setup and speed to see if I need to tweak mine. I'm trying to also debating on a 4 blade prop for a better hole shot and handling. i

    I had a 96 201 with 200 merc.
ran a 4 blade trophy at 67-69mph depending on load.

I'm getting 5500 RPM's with a old Raker 24, with a bad hole shot . I'm thinking about going with a Renegade 4 blade 23. From what I can guess from reading that pitch change will bring me up to about 5900 RPM's with the better hole shot, slower cruising speeds and better handling.

need to try a merc prop fury or a bravo1 even better since under powered a little call mark at marks propellers before you buy anything. he has his own props for a good price

you likely just need more venting on the raker but with the gade small hub prop, blow out will be an issue

    I have a old lead sled . It a 1988 201 pro with a 6 manual plate set around 3.50 below pad with a 2.5 200 hp carb.
I can turn a 24 pitch Bravo 1 to 6000 rpm. It had 1 inch holes in it before i hit ground with it , when the lake was low.
It still had the full barrel on it . It was a tad slow coming out the hole. I just didnt trim all the way down on hole shot. Love the prop. I have a Bravo 1 XS now with the flare cut and 8 holes . It run good .But just hasn't had the time to run it a lot to compare them . The Bravo 1 XS has less stren lift , I say as much as a Tempest prop.
My 25p Tempest Plus is the fast and more bow rise. But just like the Bravo , the way i fish these lakes around with all the boat traffic . Hope this help .
