Min. Kota universal sonar to hummingbird 788 hd di problem

Just purchased a min Kota Terrova trolling motor bought the cable to make it work on a hummingbird 788 HD DI graph. I was getting inaccurate depth readings. (2 feet would read 68 feet) I changed some frequency adjustments in the graph now I am getting correct and incorrect depth readings. It will read correctly then jump to 60 feet then back to correct reading. Any ideas. Thanks in advance.

It has the four pin connector. Not the 14 pin mega DI connector. Hope this helps.

That would be the US2 and it is tuned to 83/200 kHz and is 2D sonar ONLY==no Down Imaging.

Your unit uses 200/455 kHz by default. Don't know about unit that old, but see if you have a Connected Transducer setting that uses 83/200 kHz.

If you want to have Down Imaging, you have to put a Down Imaging transducer on the bottom of the motor.
The DI trolling motor puck version that matches the unit default frequencies is the XTM 9 DI 25 T.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I will be putting the old transducer back on.
