    testing electoral components on the 1997 200 Johnson

    someone told me you could heat coil packs with a hair drier and tell if it was working properly when hot. is there any truth to this? lol

    thaks for the reply Champ, I was having a electoral problem and a buddy outboard mechanic heated up my stator with a hair dryer and the numbers maxed on his meter leading him to say the stator was bad. I've never heard of doing this before. so I was wondering if anyone else had.
