Nice school of fish. I see none inside the inner ring. I understand that is distance from transducer. But find it odd that the school "curve" with the rings. Is that an anomaly of the way it works?

I have noticed that when I go over a road bed at a 90 degree angle, It will go straight off to the left and right but will "warp" (curve) around the water column above or below, depending on the timing of the sweep. I definitely have more to learn about this "warping" around the water column in terms of determining true distance of objects from the transducer.

It won't warp the image if you don't move while it is scanning a subject.

Yeah, I probably should have added that it does this while trolling at 2.5 MPH.
