Oversized Xpress Trailers For Xpress Boats?

This is odd. I was going through dealer listings for H18, H17 and X18 boats.

One dealer has a few Xpress boats sitting on trailers with bunks that extend a foot past the transom of the boat?!

This X18 looks good and the way I would expect a boat to sit on the bunks:

But look at this H18. The bunk boards extend more than a foot past the transom.

Same thing with this other H18.

This doesn’t really look right to me. Any ideas why these trailers seem to have oversized bunks for those H18 boats?

Looks like they put them on the wrong trailer. Those look like they would be a trailer for an X19, seems like a simple mix up.

Interesting. I contacted the dealer to ask about this. The guy I talked to explained that they move the winch stand forward when picking up the boats from Arkansas so that they can hook up the second boat to the first trailer and tow them down to the dealership two at a time.

Before picking up my X18 last fall they had to take to the lake to set the jack stand. It had about a foot of board sticking past the transom when I arrived. Was told it was a shipping thing.

I have mine set to about 4" sticking out. More tong weight and if the boat overhangs the bunks it will put a hook in the hull! CJ

I had the opposite problem; received mine with about 4” of hull hanging out past the bunks. I had to move the bow roller forward quite a bit. Now I have about an inch of bunk underhang.

when shipping the boats pulling two at a time they pull the front one up on the trailer to bolt the hitch to the back of the trailer .
