    2006 Mercury 50hp Maintenance

My "old" 2006 Mercury 50hp gets used basically one full week in the spring and one week in the fall.

I usually get the impeller and lower unit oil replaced every other year. Is there anything else I should have replaced or checked this spring?

    Thanks for the info.

I get out a lot. Most "lakes" in NJ are electric only.

Next year I should be lakefront in NC so I'll be using the gas motor a lot more.

I have a river boat with about the same engine it appears. Mine is a 2008 and I crank it and let it run between 5 and 10 minutes every 4 months whether I get it on the water or not. So far that method had served me well on all my 4 boats. Good luck with yours.
