    200 HP XR6! WTF???

    I found a local listing for a 92 BassCat Pantera II on Facebook. The boat needs some TLC, but the motor is why it’s really interesting. I’ve had couple 150hp XR6s. And those are the best motors as far as durability, reliability and performance that I’ve ever encountered. I know that the XR6 was is basically a restricted 200HP 2.5L carbureted motor built to achieve maximum performance when the 150 B.A.S.S HP limit was in place. Does anyone have any info, experience or opinions with this motor? The motor what is apparently manufactured for Nitro.

    I guess it was the last of the Merc carb 200s. I'm guessing it has the shorter tuner and 200 porting. I want!

    They made 200 carb motors through 2004 I think, I have a 2002 200 Carbed motor.
