    I’d measure the voltage on the battery while the engine is running to confirm your charging system is working.

    Can I do test it without being on the water?

    Also CatFan - on the ethernet itself, does it matter which order you hook up the network cords? I am just wondering due to some of the issues I had with not being able to follow the contour on the bow mounted Helix.

    It would be better to do it on the water so you can get the RPM up where you need it.

    I’d take the Ethernet questions to the Humminbird forum. They’ll have the best knowledge.

    As said 12v on a standard wet starting battery is dead. Draining it that low could actually cause permanent damage.

    All of these modern electronics draw a lot of amps.

    Add a dedicated battery for electronics. Wet, agm or lithium. 50ah Lithium is about $500

    Or replace your current battery with a group 31AGM will run electronics and start motor.

    replaced with a AGM 31. Running everything from there for now. We will see how that goes.
