Just purchased a ranger 370v 1982 with a 200hp mercury black max s/n#6073354 (not oil injected). I have a few general questions:
-Does the tell tail only become strong when thermostats are open?
-what is wot on this engine?
-was told by seller to not run engine in upper range for extended periods, is there any specific failure to watch for?
-engine hesitates out of the hole from 2500-3200 rpm then comes in very strong, is this normal and if not what is the cause?
-is there a way to hook up water pressure gauge or is there a factory over heat alarm?
-Any other general info I need to know?
