    300 R hours

How many hours do you have on your 300R and have you had any issues with it? From what I’ve found on the net they are pretty much trouble free. I’ve talked to one guy with 500 hours on his and not trouble what so ever.

I put 230 on mine in under 2 years and you know how hard I pushed mine for Fastbass Marine. No issues. Just a flat out awesome motor. We have 3 in our group and they all get pushed hard for Allison testing. No issues on any of them.

Even though I have a 250 pro xs I love hearing these results. My first one I didn't have such great luck with. It was replaced under warranty. So far my new one has been great. It only has a little over 8 hrs on it. Stupid winter.

Yep you did and a good one it was. That motor put down some wicked 5-90mph times when I first tested it. Time to put it to good use.

Does anybody know the actual HP difference in the 300R vs Pro XS 300? From what I can tell the 300R is the way to go this will be for my Ranger Z522.

I don't know the actual HP difference but the extra RPM makes a big difference on a high performance hull.

There is nothing that has been released that I would consider "realistic" data for this purpose. The "R" definitely has advantages (just keep in mind that if you want a Product Protection Plan, they are CONSIDERABLY more expensive on the Race Models).

    300 XS = 306 hp

    300 R = 328 hp

This info came from the post "Good article about R motors"
