    Hard Steering

    Serial Number: 1B481011
    115 optimax on a Stratos 275

My steering has gotten to where its pretty hard to turn. Its a cable steer. It has never been really easy to steer but has gotten noticeably tougher the last couple months. Does it need grease or do I have a bigger issue? Any suggestions are welcome.

    Thanks

Disconnect the cable from the motor, if it swivels easy then issue is cable

wont be the wheel ,could be the helm though, would replace both assemblies reuse your actual steering wheel

Don't bother attempting to do "just a cable". In reality, your helm is likely more worn than your cable is (after all, it was what you were using to try and move the stubbornly seized cable in and out). Think SAFETY: Steering is obviously NOT an "optional accessory".
