    Prop to pad

Hey all. I have a 2012 Alpha 199SC and just repowered with a 2020 Mercury ProXS 225. I am wondering what the best prop to pad ratio is. I do have a hydraulic jack plate but want a good starting point. I know with the former 2 stroke the ratio was around 3.25-3.5 in but not sure if going to a 4 stroke changes that. As is with a 23 tempest I am pushing 5800 rpm 68 mph wot trimmed out and 6” jack plate on 4.5 in. And still pushing 25psi water and no rooster tail. Thinking I need to raise the motor up at least 1 bolt hole on the jack plate. Any suggestions?

4.5 Seems too low.. I would expect 3-3.5" to be best
