I hope he does better than the last four they have had.

Looks like a good hire, but the million dollar question is can he recruit?

So, they spent another 20 something million buying out Pruett, Phillip, and Hiring Kevin Steele to be the interim and hired another Assistant Coach.

Good grief, those people on the hill are special.

They fired Pruitt with cause so it remains up in the air as to how much money UT will have to pay and it could be zero. Regardless, all one has to do is look at the names who donate to UT athletics to realize they can pay whatever is needed to fire a coach or force an AD to retire.

Sometimes it is better off to not say anything. That way people don't know how little you know. There was no Pruitt buy out. Fired for cause. Coach Heupel was the HEAD COACH at UCF. Kevin Steele is still on the payroll as is Coach Chaney. Heupel was not my first choice but with the NCAA knocking on the door my choice would not have been a good pick. One thing is for sure, Heupel's offenses average over 41 points per game. You are going to have to set the scoreboard on fire to beat the Vols.

Nah, we’re good with Lincoln. We just got two transfers from TN that look very promising, a lineman and a DB.

First of all the investigation is a self created problem with the hope of firing Pruitt with cause. I highly doubt they get by with not paying a buyout. It will go to court and chances are there will be little sympathy for UT in a courtroom.

Second they did pay Phillip again.

Third if he wants to win with offense they will buy out Cheney.

Fourth. I guarantee they paid him well to come to Knoxville into that mess.

I’ve been following UT football since before Johnny Came Marching Home. I might know a few people in Knockersville. I certainly hope it gets better than it has been the last 15 years. The death penalty would be better than 2020.

Sounds like the Vols got a winner this time and without Fulmer he stands a good chance.

He looks like one of the better 2nd tier coaches. In NFL terms he's about a 5th or 6th rounder. Maybe. Maybe not. But worth a shot.
