Damn. Dave was a good friend and a legend for sure. Many trips and many visits. He used to come and speak at all of our rallies when we moved them to KY Lake. He will be missed for sure.

Dave truly was one of the good ones... A wealth of knowledge on Kentucky Lake, but more well known as a veteran, a family man and a friend. Prayers for the family.

Haven't been on here in a while, but followed Dave on Facebook. I was sad to see Dave go. He taught me a lot about fishing and I will remember him always. I admired his toughness. Many know that he continued to be a fishing guide through all the elements while battling cancer for several years. He also never missed writing a fishing report through all of his battles. If he couldn't get on the water, he had a few guys who would help so that he could continue to give that free gift to us each week. Many won tournaments, found PB's or at least had productive trips thanks to his willingness to share his knowledge.

He did a lot for fishing and was happy to pass on his knowledge and experience. Prayers for his family.

Long live Dave. I'd like to see the admins archive his reports on the forum in his honor, even if the lake is not the same as it was during his prime.
