    Water temps please

I can post when I go later this week but in the mean time. Can anyone give the water temp on Jordan, Sharon Harris and Falls Lake?

As most of us know that is the biggest thing we should focus on this time of year. So if anyone knows for 100% fact please post and I will post the temps on where I go and when I go for the next 6 weeks

Have been using this link for quite a while myself. Went Thursday, almost 2 weeks ago, and 42 - 46 was all i saw. Granted that you can find areas at the backs of the creeks that get a lot of sun, the temps can vary quite a bit.we did fish one small area that was 49.7 that day.

I went to Jordan this am and it was 45.1
loaded up and went to Sharon Harris as well and it was 47.8
so it’s a little chilly. I got 2 fish on Jordan with the grad school A rig. Nothing big. Both around 4.6 lbs. not a bite on SH as we already kinda knew that was going to happen.

Fellow NC Fishermen... Someone posted a link that gives up-to-the-second temp (and trending) for Falls Lake. Does something like that exist for Jordan (I can find lake levels, but not temp)? Shearon Harris?

That is a really really cool site. Have never seen - or even heard of - it before. Seems fairly accurate other than perhaps the water temp trending graph on the bottom. Don't think Shearon Harris was 56 degrees on Jan. 3rd or 39 degrees on Feb. 6th.

This is for Lake Sharon Harris

For anyone wondering the water temp at 9 am was 45.33 and I just got home and at 1:35 pm and when I left the water temp was 47.22

up by tue bridge was pure mud and 45 at 12:30
go to the power lines and it cleared up so much better.
Shad kill is beyond awesome. The Shad all all from 1” up to 3”
and they are dying by the 100’s of Thousands.
I did not get a bump and I threw the A rig with 1.5” sassy shads up to 3” Kitech.
I threw Shad raps from 2” up to 3.5 inch.
Carolina Rig French fry, fish Dr’s and baby brush hogs.

Who ever finds fish congrats to you. I spoke to 2 guys leaving at the ramp and they had 0 bites in 2 days back to back. Good luck to you all.

By the way. They are running very very little water out of Jordan. The Cape River isnt up much at all. That concrete slab or block right by the bridge I’ve seen it under water so many times. It’s 1’ out of water, that’s how little water Jordan is running. Very confusing wtf they are waiting to For in dropping the lake.

Lol sounds like Shearon Harris. Awesome fishery. It should be #1 in the country next year. At least all those out of state people drive by all the lakes I like to fish to go there. There and high rock should be ranked #1 and #2 in my book

on a serious note, that website that was posted is nowhere near accurate. I tested it on multiple bodies of water this week. Way off. Just so you know before someone depends on it. It would be awesome if it was accurate though

I think that website is water temp where the water is going in the intake. so that would be well below the surface temp.

The reason they are not releasing much water out of Jordan is that there is minor to moderate flooding along the lower Cape Fear. There is more rain in the forecast.

Jordan is only 14 feet high now. Fishing should be good there. Haha
