Those lithium batteries are significantly lighter compared to a conventional battery, in return improving boat performance.

Those five IONIC's vs 4 AGM Gr 31s is about 170 lb weight savings at the transom. That would be noticeable. Like running with empty livewells.

Hopefully you have an AGM or wet cell stuck in there for your cranking if you have a Mercury.... Mercury says nope to lithiums as a cranking battery... http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread.php?t=20671

The biggest difference is the run time on the trolling motor. I can get multiple days out of a single charge plus they are much lighter. The option to see % charged via Bluetooth on the cell phone app is nice as well. I can literally fish all day with no loss of power and the lowest % charge at the end of the day that I’ve seen so far is 79% fishing sun up to sun down while crappie fishing using spot lock a lot . I am running 2-100 AH for my ultrex on my 2080.

Does this count? A VX21 with a 300 Merc, GARMIN force and GARMIN electronics
Money can't buy happiness but it can buy fishing baits and that's about the same thing

    My set up is:
    2020 AVX 2080
2020 Merc 200 ProXs Four Stroke
    Atlas Jack Plate
PP 8' Blades (using Raptor brackets as they are much improved over PP brackets. I believe PP has a bracket re-design coming soon. Ladder removal not needed for PP or Raptor brackets. Simple mod eliminates need to remove)
    Lowrance Ghost
2 HDS Live 12's at bow on BBT mount w/BBT hydrowave mount
2 HDS Live 12's at console on BBT mount
3 in 1 AI transducer at bow
3 in 1 AI transducer on stern (transducer shield saver mount on jack plate)
HDI skimmer on stern for holding bottom at speed (transducer shield saver plate on springback mount)
    3 Ionic 50ah (36v) for Ghostnd
100ah Ionic for HDS's and NMEA network. (dedicated circuit/switch and Sea Clear power harness)
125ah Ionic for Cranking/General. Discussed with Mercury during warranty set up. Battery will not harm motor or cause warranty issues. As long as MCA/CA exceeds requirements.

Very nice set up and clean install. I’m glad you got the starting battery issue worked out. Mercury needs to get with the program in a few areas, Lithium batteries is just one.

Yeah the 125ah Ionic is rated for only 900 CCA. Mercury recommends 1000 MCA or 800 CCA. They also recommend a non deep cycle due they generally will not have a high enough MCA/CCA. They said the issue comes about when, and this goes for any battery, the cranking battery is also used all of todays power hungry electronics. The motor alternator cannot keep up with the drain of the electronics, even if with substantial running of the big motor. But they did tell me the good part with a lithium cranking battery is lithium's charge quicker and more efficiently, therefore the motor will charge it much quicker than a wet cell or AGM.
I think the dedicated electronic battery and circuit is the key though. I've been doing that for over 10 years on my boats and have had no cranking battery issues with Mercury or Yamaha. Just my thoughts though.

Have a pair Elite 9Ti's on my dash and just replaced one of them with a Elite 12Ti2. Will probably replace the second 9 with the same sometime this year. Next up is to upgrade my rods.
