Awful deal. The deceased and I have mutual friends and by all accounts they were great guys. Just terrible.

Suspect has been identified as a 70 year old named David Vowel. A man hunt is underway per the Tennessee Bureau of Ivestigations.

This is the same area of Reelfoot where a deer hunter shot a killed a duck hunter going to his blind site.
Sad, I saw reference to this on a duck hunting facebook page yesterday, but didn't know what it was referring to. We are hearing more and more about this type of stuff with hunting and fishing. It's sad that people that are out doing what should be a relaxing and enjoyable activity get so worked up that they feel the need to kill another human over it. It seems like people are looking for more and more reason to kill others now instead of getting along with others. Step on my property, I will kill you, take my fishing spot, I will kill you, take my hunting blind... protest something I don't believe in... It has really gotten ridiculous that people think if they have a disagreement with another person that they should have the right to kill whoever they disagree with.
The wheels have fallen off in this country.......you are not safe anywhere anymore.....

Dang over duck hunting. Seems like plenty of ducks to go around. Just a shame someone should have had a cooler head.
