    6" Senko weight

    Does anybody have a 6" GY senko and a gram scale. Trying to find out the weight.

    I imagin if you use a sinking plastic, The need for salt or glass bead media would be far less... And more durable. MF Easy Stretch comes to mind.

    I have a drug scale but not any 6" Senkos. Let me ask a buddy if he has any.

    Actually Mike, it's a matter of weight vs displacement that creates sink rate.

    I have a paint scale but all my Senkos are 5 inchers.

    Actually. If the plastic floats, It needs more weight to sink than sinking plastic.... I'm sure of that.

    If the plastic floats it's lighter by volume than plastic that sinks. To get the same sink rate, identical baits made from different plastics would need to weigh the same since they displace the same amount of water.

    On my scale a 6" senko weight 16 grams / 0.56 oz.

    Thanks John! I poured some yesterday that came out at 17g so I'm pretty close in my ratio of plastic to gbm.
