    AGM cranking battery

I'm needing a new cranking battery this spring. It will be used for starting, 2 power poles, 3 helix graphs, mega 360, any and all pumps. Im leaning towards agm instead of lithium. Which batteries have served you well?

Certain new motors like Mercury’s V8s require an AGM for starting. I use a Northstar 31.

I know there have been some issues with the optimax and lithium that's why I'm leaning towards agm.

I had a 2016 250 ProXS 2 stroke and used lithiums without an issue. I sold that boat to a fishing buddy and they are still doing great. They have been in use now for about 4 years.

Both AGM and Lithiums have great options for you!

My odyssey will not make the entire day with everything running my solex 15 and Mega 360 with the livescope and everything else suck it down unless you are starting and running all the time. I am getting ready to switch to lithium

Mine has 4 seasons on it. It doesn't really like all the electronics I have on it. That's why I'm putting in a 5th lithium.

Four X2's in mine. Zero issues with running two Solix 15's and 360 all day.

Are the X2s you guys referencing true cranking batteries, or the dual purpose cranking/deep cell?

Think you're gonna see the Sam's Duracell and X2 recommended a lot. X2 better for the reserve capacity.
